These past couple of months I’ve been suffering from severe anxiety and it has not just affected only me but everything around me. What is Anxiety? According to Mayo Clinic, it is an intense, excessive and persistent worry and fear about everyday situations. Fast heart rate, rapid breathing, sweating and feeling tired may occur.
In my case, I knew I had anxiety after doing a research to why I would regularly feel restless, wound-up or on-edge which led to me having sleeping problems. I was having difficulties in concentrating which led to me being more irritable and disturbed by being around people for a long time so I would isolate or intoxicate myself to stay focused. I was always worried about almost everything and this caused me to have regular headaches and unexplainable pains which led to me self medicating. Why am I telling you all this? Because you or someone close to you might be going through the same, so this could help you in early detection. Seeking assistance at an early stage helps you deal with it before it could consume both you and your future. It comes with both permanent and temporary dangers such as addiction, extreme mental health problems or even the worst suicide.
It can be treated or dealt with by you taking up the initiative to either stay positive, avoid toxic situations, look after your physical health (exercise and eat healthy), journal, do things that put your mind at ease( things you love or used to love), talk to someone you trust or seek professional help. Stress, trauma, body changes, geographical location, nervousness, intoxication or effects of drugs are listed amongst the causes of anxiety.

So according to me #StewieLeSavage don’t be a victim, only you can help fight anxiety by seeking assistance or providing assistance. Help make the world a better place. Don’t forget to share with a friend or two and also press follow to stay updated on new posts.
