Gender Based Violence

He who finds a wife
Finds a good thing
Flip the coin get the other side
Ipso facto man in quotes ought to nourish and cherish
What sparked and gave birth to the union
Made one change their last name

I hate to say it
But come to think of it
Pet names have become extinctive
Flowery emotions treaded upon like anthills
What gave them thrills is now prey ground
Stuck in a straight feasting on dilemmas
Within or without confusion unfolds
Who could ever thought sacred unions could turn people into subjects?

Patriarchal patronage patronizing perpetual possibilities
Giving death to the union’s ambitions
Let’s not condone these atrocities
Eating into families’ moral and social esteem

My heart cries out
It pains me to see gender based violence
Become the modern norm
Wrecking and destroying a multiple homes
The kids IQ psychologically shattered
Talk of the parents living e fear of flying fists, pots and pans
Where are we going with this?

Fathers, mothers this grass is fragile
Do not choke the potential within with your violent actions
Get back to genesis
Were it all started
Remember fruitfulness and multiplication
See my heart will be more than glad to see love and unity restored in the home
After all charity begins at home
