Kelvin Ndumiso Debryne Mkhwananzi is an 18years old artist going by the name KayV the Rapper. His journey started at Thomas Ruddland Primary School where he used to sing in the school choir. Then he fell in love with Hip-hop at the age of 13 when one of his friends introduced him to Tupac’s music. After that period he started following a lot of rap music, started rapping along to some of the songs and writing his own.
In 2016 KayV the Rapper got involved in a rap battle which consisted of 13 rappers and he fortunately took the first prize. He later on got an opportunity to go live on Skyz Metro FM for the Ingwebu Cyphers Season two but unfortunately lost in the quarter finals to the guy who actually won the cyphers. He also went to battle in Vic Falls representing Bulawayo.
So as KayV the Battle is working on his first single titled The Beginning, he has great aspirations and goals to achieve. His biggest dream is to work on collaborations with local and international artist, tour the world and inspire other young people.
