Desire Nyoni a.k.a DJ Magetsie is a South African based Sound Engineer whose passion for music grew unexpectedly, from being annoyed by his brother’s obsession to music to being a sound engineer was quite a huge shift on his life. He fell in love with music at the age of 14 when he started a collection of cassettes and then felt the urge to know more about artists and musical genres.
In 2009 he was titled one of the most prominent disc jockeys in Bulawayo after coming out first at the Upcoming DJz Battle which was held at Hustlers Leisure Center. In 2017 he acquired a certificate in sound engineering with Pro Audio South Africa thus making him one of the young certified sound engineers from Zimbabwe. He has managed to release 3 singles namely The sensual soul, The soul seeker and the most recent one Poison featuring the award winning Novuyo Seagirl.
DJ Magetsie is a man that he is today from the inspiration that he gets from his mother, a goal driven hard working woman. He is in the process of setting up a lingerie business which is already kick starting in SA and he is also investing in building a studio. His words of encouragement are “Never under estimate the power and drive you have within. Never doubt yourself, always double the force and energy to what you want to achieve. Anything is possible through God and hard work.”
So according to me #StewieLeSavage don’t be apologetic for the person that you are but work hard on being the person that you want to be.
