Meet Mussa Effect our #MCM

Calvin Masandu commonly known as Mussa Effect is a Zimbabwean born creative who ventured into music at the age of 15. His journey began at Sandringham High School as he was part of the Choir that staged alongside Sebastian Magacha, Bethany Pasinawako and McDonald Chidavaenzi which then sealed his bond with music. After High School he decided to take music as his full-time job and started off as a Backing Vocalist for Established musicians.

In 2015 he started working with Tatenda Mahachi, this was a highlight to his career because it opened doors for him. He started working with Invision Studios and released his first featured single Silent Night. From then his works started blossoming and last year he released a hit single Magumo which is available online. He has partnered with Kosha Management and performed in bigger stage like the Tony Braxton and Baby Face welcome party and hosting Toya De Lazy.

One of his biggest dreams is to receive a Grammy Award and to represent the country overseas. Hopefully before the end of this year he is releasing an EP. “You can be anything and anyone you want to be. As long as you remember that the dream is free but you have to work hard to make it a reality. Making history is a choice and a decision you have to make consciously” the wise words from his mouth.
