CMK, the true definition of #Womandla

Chophekile Maria Khumalo CMK is a young female artist from the City of Kings and Queens who believes the future is female. Music has always been her pillar of strength since childhood, to her music is like a best friend. She started recording at the age of 19 and released her first mainstream project Tear it up in 2018 which gave her reasons to pursue a career in music and art.

CMK is a strong woman who is mostly inspired by real life experiences. In her journey she has been awarded with 6 gongs for the best supporting actress in both Intwasa and Plan International drama competitions in High School. This year she is determined to release her first album which she is hoping will create a mark for her.

Her aspirations are to be one of the loudest female voices in Zimbabwe. Her goals are to take her music to another level and hopefully one day become a household name. As a body shaming advocate, her message to women out here is “You are beautiful no matter what size, shape and race. Be proud of who you are and don’t let anyone make you feel any less because you are more than enough.”
