Edwin Macktavish Mackavel popularly known as Yung R33c3 is a 17 year old fast rising rapper from Bulawayo who decided to chase music in 2014 after winning a school rap battle. In the same year he met up with two other rappers “Situation and Yung Bhoza” and they formed a crew called Komoshin.
The crew managed to top charts in the local radio stations with their kasi hip-hop genre and was later endorsed as brand ambassadors for a local brand ‘Fresh Juice’. However due to some instances the crew had to split but this didn’t kill Yung R33c3’s passion for music. He then started pushing his career as a solo artist and made waves with his singles.
Part of his journey in music, he has represented Bulawayo in Harare at the winter shut down carnival. He has also shared the stage with artists like Lamas Ellz, Bev Sibanda, Shinso man and Asaph. Yung R33c3 is set to release his first album as a solo artist this year in November.
So according to me #StewieLeSavage it’s not about the age but the zeal and passion to do something.
