Mpumelelo Trust Khuphe commonly known as Dr Ckhupha is a 24 year old artist from the city of kings and queens, who does Comedy music.
Dr Ckhupha started singing at the age of 10 in a school choir called St Patrick’s melodies. He started recording in 2011 when he was doing his Lower 6 at Gloag High School when he dropped his duals singles Traffic cop and heart broken boy featuring Shele and Danza. These two tracks were produced by Face the Music and unfortunately they didn’t make a buzz because they were not marketed well
He recently dropped two tracks titled Gugu and Stenke produced by Shirati Drums and Ancestral Movement. In these 2 tracks Dr Ckhupha has worked with Briza, King Tee, Mabex, Lonty, Nkanjoe and they are releasing the videos directed by Sticky Pics in Mid August
Dr Ckhupha recently founded a movement called Shut up and Groove events which works on grooming and promoting young and upcoming artists. He is also working on pushing his brand label and he’s releasing an album this September produced by Shirati drums featuring various artists.
